I loved it so much- we were about an hour from the coast midway between Portland and Augusta and everything about it was ridiculously perfect- the people (even the standoffish stereotypical Mainers), the weather, the land. Someday maybe I'll move back.

The warning and the hiding does sound silly but I tend to do similar silly things re: fic- only for me it's after I've written it that I get /o\ so I understand what you mean.
