An old friend of mine passed away on Wednesday night. I hadn't seen or spoken to him in nearly two years (though I'd taken steps to get back in touch, recently). It was a shock - I think I'm doing all right, although I'm concerned about his family and wish desperately that my old core group of high school friends were not quite so scattered just now.

Everything--from Amanda Palmer concert reports (which is half-written, and I definitely want to finish it) to commenting on other peoples' brilliant fic and artwork--is a little postponed.
