room and board
Hey, so, this is definitely both random and last-minute, but ... my roommate has until the weekend to decide whether she's staying in our apartment for another year. She's just been checking around our immediate circle, really, but: if you happen to know someone in the Boston area who might be looking for a room, drop me a line?
I kind of wish I could pick my neighborhood, and especially my roommate, up and take them with me to Vermont. She's sweet, funny, nerdy, and incredibly cooperative. Our place is located halfway up a hill in Somerville, between a comic shop (and cafe, and fantastic little Thai place) and the main library branch. Plus it's surrounded by gorgeous Victorian houses with nice gardens, and the farmer's market is less than five minutes' walk from the front door. It's really come to feel like home; I'm mostly excited to move to a rural area, but.
While I'm still here, though ... I don't suppose anyone has recs for a favorite restaurant in the North End? I have terrible luck with that, for some reason, but I'd like to take my family for Italian on Father's Day.
