Dear BDSM Exchange Creator,
Hi! Thanks so much for creating for me.
I was excited to learn about this new exchange, because while I enjoy all kinds of kink, it’s often hard to find stories that scratch my itch for the kinds of kink practices, protocols and history that you find in a lot of IRL BDSM communities. Whether or not those kinds of communities are explicitly included in the story—it doesn’t always fit with the canon—I enjoy things like negotiation (talking about hot things can itself be so hot - it doesn’t have to be rote!), characters checking in with each other, taking care of each other when things don’t quite work as planned or there is emotional aftermath … very very much. I’m very into things like honorifics, defined scenes (in the kink sense) when people take on roles/fall into headspace within those delineations, and so forth.
I also have a huge thing for cathartic kink, for characters (especially strong/stoic/leader characters) getting a chance to let go, give up control, process emotions and trauma, and feel protected/under the control and care of someone else, through the medium of bondage, pain or submission. There’s a lot of that in here.
And, I enjoy non-sexual and non-sex-centric kink quite a lot! I also love hot, filthy porn! Basically, with most of these requests, I’d be equally happy with a focus on the one as the inclusion of the other.

I hardly know where to start with what I love about this pair. The absolute loyalty? The butch/femme hotness of it all? Their deep intimacy and bantering, flirtatious established relationship? Haruka being an outrageous flirt who dazzles all the girls, and Michiru behind her being quietly, elegantly and confidently in control (and ready to dish out some enjoyable consequences if that’s what they both want)? I see them as having a an established dynamic, and while I wouldn’t object to a few words of negotiation (and I’m highly in favor of the use of the traffic light system - Michiru pausing to murmur “color?” Haruka breathlessly answering “green” - it seems appropriate for a race car driver), I think most of that can be taken as long since pre-arranged.
Some ideas to play with:
all the covert public kink! At a nice restaurant for date night, in the car at a romantic outlook AFTER dinner, at a gallery showing for Michiru’s work or once of her concerts, even at one of Haruka’s races … orders quietly given, use of remote-control vibrators, shoving Haruka into a quiet corner or back against her car seat while Michiru pulls out the packable strap-on she was made to wear all night … yum.

I’m really fond of this triad (so much better than the love triangle). Logan and Jean have always had a spark, while Logan and Scott have (somewhat hard-won) mutual respect and complimentary strengths .., and Scott and Jean at their best-written have an incredibly strong, functional partnership homed by years of trial (not the least of which was their shared adolescence, or those years they spent in the future coparenting Cable.
I found myself imagining a pre-polyamory scenario where Scott and Jean semi-accidentally wind up topping Logan as a form of caring for their friend (who can’t trust or feel comfortable enough to open up and be that vulnerable most of the time, or with both people). And then … feelings? Perhaps? I confess that with this grouping, I’m a lot more interested in the power dynamics, catharsis and affection than fucking or orgasms. I don’t object by any means, but would rather not have the focus there.

This pair is one of my longest-standing, most ironclad OTPs. I have some feelings about them sharing catharsis and caretaking through kink, as related to Rachel’s traumatic history. The fact that her terrible past comes with so much BDSM coding makes me want to see her in more positive, healing kinky scenarios; and she and Kitty have such a deep, trusting, intimate connection, complete with psychic link. (I go back to this one scene in Excalibur #75 where Rachel actually brings Kitty into her traumatic memories, and yeah.)
I’d prefer a story set when Kitty herself is at least 17 or 18, but you can play fast and loose with how that matches up with their various teams/eras/etc, as you like. Maybe not Rachel’s earliest days with the X-Men, but … Excalibur, as teachers at the Jean Grey school, on Krakoa … creator’s choice.
Ideas:
I’d love a story where the focus is on the aftercare as much as the play; Kitty cleaning Rachel with a warm or cool washcloth, snuggling her, playing with her hair, talking her back to herself (whether aloud or over their link).
I love shibari/rope bondage as a method of creating relaxation, rhythm, a sense of security, or easing a submissive into subspace, and that could be really lovely here. Impact or pain leading to subspace is great too. So is forcing the sub to agree to positive things about herself.
A scenario in which Rachel is putting on a cocky/cheerful attitude, but Kitty can see through it and insist on doing something about it in private,might suit very well. A little humor or banter to lighten things at the beginning and/or end is always good with this pair.

Yeah, so I can see these two going either way, which is awesome, but with my thing for cathartic kink I’m especially into the idea of Ed subbing and having to let go/let himself be taken care of. Another way of having (metaphorical) softness in his life, even if it comes with pain.
On the other hand, intensity and feelings aside, I love the comedic aspects of the show and their interactions too, and playing with that, or a mix of both, in a BDSM context could be delightful.

I definitely have a thing for that whole scenario where a supervillain who isn’t really that terrible of a person, just really jaded about the rule of law and stuff, is unwillingly concerned about and compelled by a brash, inexperienced and adorable hero who is in danger of getting in over their head. (Sure, fine, I’ll be your nemesis. Focus on foiling me and not Lord Stabby McTorturepants over there.) It feels like a dynamic that could be pushed in a BDSM direction very easily!
Combative banter-turned-admission-turned negotiation while at least one party is already painfully aroused … sounds like a fun time.
Ideas:
the supervillainess notices that this heroine keeps winding up, well, in her clutches. Maybe a little TOO easily? She talks a good game about foiling dastardly schemes and all that, but maybe there’s something else she’s looking for out of these encounters …
the supervillainess is at a BDSM club, in secret identity (or it’s a club where everyone wears domino masks or something), and she sees the heroine, who is undercover because she thinks the club is a front for something … and in the process is really really obviously a newbie (and getting interest from other patrons), and clearly both super embarrassed and unexpectedly turned on. The supervillainess is intrigued.

the hero picks up the villain at a club, because she’s flagging for something appealing (black/SM, grey/bondage, red/fisting, light pink/dildos, etc). Maybe she recognizes her as soon as she turns around, and is surprised to find she’s even more into the idea now. Maybe they find a quiet corner and start talking activities and limits, and something is nagging at her … maybe the villain turns on the domme voice as they get ready to start playing, and suddenly she RECOGNIZES it…!

I’d be really interested to see how you might handle this without any kind of physical avatar for the ship, in particular. I’m really fond of this triad (so much better than the love triangle). This pair is one of my longest-standing, most ironclad OTPs. I have some feelings about them sharing catharsis and caretaking through kink, as related to Rachel’s traumatic history. Whether you see it as role reversal, or the Captain always being in service to the ship (rather than truly in charge) and this just being an extension of that … or the ship caring for its hardworking Captain who doesn’t make time for other relationships/care … yeah.
I’d be really interested to see how you might handle this without any kind of physical avatar for the ship, in particular. The Captain’s awareness of the ship surrounding her … and the ship’s voice giving orders and instructions … I think that could make for some lovely eroticism.
