I'm trying something new with this exchange, I have a separate General Likes and DNWs post, in case you find that helpful. Under the cut, I'll share some more specific prompts for my requested pairings, which you're welcome to use, adapt or ignore in favor of other ideas - whatever works best for you.

I have a particular soft spot for the idea of these three creating a family together, and generally building a life (and a relationship) together in ways that are just right for them - with their history of/past lives in isolation, and that initial total devotion to "the mission" giving way to something more whole.

Fic prompts:

After Sailor Moon S/during the lead-in to Stars, the three of them figure out how they fit together, and how they want to live now that the mission that brought them together is over. How does Setsuna fit into the intense, longer-standing romantic partnership between Haruka and Michiru? How does co-parenting work? Who are they when they aren't fighting?

Parenting shenanigans! A (bedtime?) storytelling competition, with Hotaru as audience and judge. Coping with a childhood crisis together. One of them being stuck at home with a childhood crisis while the other two have a day out/are busy at jobs or other outside pursuits (whether together or separately), with panic, miscommunication (or inability to reach each other) and hilarity ensuing. Etc!

Art prompts:

a domestic scene of some sort, especially one that compares/contrasts their styles/personalities. in the kitchen at breakfast time, for instance. doing chores/laundry. Hotaru's bedtime.

I’ve always enjoyed Haruka’s outrageous flirting with the Inners, Usagi in particular, and the very flustered responses she gets! (And Michiru's amusement/teasing of both the younger girls, and Haruka.)

Fic prompts:

Usagi (or Serenity) goes to them for help/advice about romance and/or sex. "Practice" kissing, flirting, dating, or more ensues.

Haruka & Michiru are giving Usagi a ride; she feels excited and nervous as she often does when alone with them, the conversation turns suggestive, and they’re on a lonely stretch of road overlooking the ocean ... how far does the teasing go?

The Guardians of the Outer Solar System, rarely seen on the Moon, visit for a banquet or a ball or a military strategy meeting or some such thing. Princess Serenity is FASCINATED by these extremely cool older girls. Antics and hero worship (and probably flirting) ensue.

The first time I watched the early episodes of Sailor Stars, I had this fleeting idea that when little Nehellenia woke up, a child again, she would be greeted by Princess Serenity (with all Usagi's boundless openness to new friendships). That's not what happened, of course, but the idea has stuck with me. I like the idea of a princess romance, with the effusive and irrepressible Serenity pulling the more aloof and uncertain Nehellenia out of her shell.

Fic prompts:

Adolescent Queen Nehellenia has always been a lonely girl, set apart from her people, but when she meets Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom, all that starts to change. (Maybe there's a court visit--in either direction. Maybe Nehellenia goes into a royal fosterage at the Moon Palace!)

The apparently solitary Queen of the Moon Kingdom and her loyal, isolated soldier who guards the gates of time and watches over the Kingdom from afar - fealty and tragedy, oh my.

Fic prompts:

Chivalrous, pining, understated letters. Occasional visits from the Queen to Pluto's lonely outpost. Falling in love slowly, quietly, and largely at a distance.

Sailor Pluto visiting the Moon Palace to give a report, perhaps, and then surreptitiously retiring to the Queen’s chambers … (I know this is technically against one of Pluto’s three taboos, but I think we can get a little handwavy, where such a report is part of her duties and doesn’t qualify as “leaving her post”?)

Abigail/Dulcinea
One of the many things I really loved about Harrow the Ninth was that we got so much more Abigail, and that we got to meet the real Dulcinea. I love them both - Abigail's sheer historical nerdery, the way she takes charge and manages the bizarre ghost-play situation behind the scenes, and her endless wryness and generosity. Dulcinea’s embrace of her disembodied autonomy, her horniness for revenge, her brilliant, dazzling refusal to accept any particular limitations anymore, all flavored with humor and a deceptively delicate touch. It's a combination I'm very curious to see elaborated on.

Pairing-specific DNW: Breaking up Abigail and Magnus, or any drama/betrayal between them. (They strike me as an extremely well-adjusted and communicative couple, so I'd like to think that they could handle a healthy open relationship.)

I really only have the one prompt for this pair:

Behind the scenes in the death river bubble Canaan House, working together to figure things out and manage their strange new situation as best they can. Dulcie likes nerds, and watching this hot history nerd work is inspiring - and after what she lived through, why on earth shouldn't she enjoy a little afterlife dalliance while she has the opportunity?

Judith/Coronabeth
I mean, that bonus story in the paperback edition of HtN. I was instantly sold, and there's so much to explore!

Prompts:

Tell me more about their history as young scions of their respective Houses, meeting at galas and events and navigating the complicated political intricacies of their positions while also being young and perhaps hormonal. Coronabeth flirting with Judith! Instigating a sparring match? Having to ward off a possessive Ianthe?

Building on what we know about their time as prisoners of the Blood of Eden, their clashing ideologies and long-standing attraction ... Coronabeth can't seduce Judith to the Edenite cause, but can she finally seduce her another way?

Gideon/Harrow/Ianthe
Sparks flying in all directions! Banter! Snide remarks! Machinations! Body-sharing! These three are endlessly full of fascinating entertainment potential. I particularly enjoy imagining a slightly AU version of the new lyctors' time in the Mithraeum in HtN, in which Harrow and Ianthe become aware of Gideon/Gideon is more aware and able to act and communicate.

Prompts:

Gideon and Harrow are actively body-sharing on the Mithraeum, Ianthe is aware of it, and everyone is flirting/arguing (probably creating considerable havoc, and if Ianthe and “Harrow” aren’t alone, desperate attempts to hide what's happening from their bemused elders). Possible fun scenarios include another group dinner, or a mission the two baby Lyctors are on (alone?) together!

Ianthe and Gideon compete over who can successfully seduce Harrow. Possibly while Gideon and Harrow are sharing a body; possibly not. Either way, it winds up becoming a joint effort.

Ianthe attempts to seduce Harrow, not realizing that Harrow is “asleep” and she’s talking to Gideon instead. Rival sex ensues; Harrow wakes up at some point in the middle.

Gideon & Harrow are having body-sharing sex. Ianthe is caught spying on them (thinking it’s Harrow masturbating) and winds up joining in.

Ianthe is having sex with Harrow, but Harrow and Gideon keep swapping control of Harrow’s body and doing things differently and everyone’s arguing but also super into it (even if they’re trying to pretend like they’re not)

I grew up with my mom's Golden Age reprint Wonder Woman comics, and I love classic Etta; short, round, and unashamed. Fat, powerful, scrappy and confident! I very much want cute/fun shippy art of her and Diana, whether it's set back in the 40s, the present day, or anywhere in between. (And whether you stick with her original redheaded version, or the more recent Black reimagining of the character - please don't slim her down!)

I love their friendship/teamwork in the first four volumes of Ed Brubaker’s Catwoman run! Something set/based on that would be fantastic.

I love the noir undertones you get with these two, the complex personal history, and how incredibly striking both of their crime-fighting looks are (especially when Renee is the Question, fedora and all).

Queer adventurer/villain/mutant activist wives (and co-parents). I mean. <3 Obviously there's some inherent melancholy here, given that Irene ages and Raven doesn't (among other factors) - but I'd prefer something that isn't too angsty, and especially something that doesn't include/reference Irene's death. After being editorially closeted for decades, they deserve some joy. (Additionally - anything dealing with accessibility in a positive way would be lovely.)

Fic prompts:

the story of how they met/fell in love in early 20th century Europe, probably amidst a caper!

actually, historical caperfic anytime from the 1900s on would be awesome (whether as costumed supervillains, or the days when I suspect they were pre-costume and probably oftentimes a lot more ambiguous in terms of their allegiances and goals.)

the pair wind up having some kind of ideological conflict they have to resolve to complete/salvage a mission (and reconcile emotionally).

Raven is certainly an aggressive person, while Irene often comes off as more reserved, but I’d enjoy seeing that dynamic reversed in private. I imagine Raven as somewhat service-oriented with Irene (possibly including service-topping in the bedroom?), devoted to her wife, following instructions or just prioritizing her in general. (And woe betide anyone who is so much as rude to Irene!)

balancing family ties with ... other pursuits during Rogue's childhood, and the challenges that entails.

This pair is one of my longest-standing, most ironclad OTPs. I have a very particular love for their Excalibur-era incarnations and the frequent goofiness inherent to that book. On the other hand, I think they have rich opportunities to work with catharsis and caretaking through kink, with regard to Rachel’s traumatic history. The fact that her terrible past comes with so much BDSM coding makes me want to see her in more positive, healing kinky scenarios; and she and Kitty have such a deep, trusting, intimate connection, complete with psychic link. (I go back to this one scene in Excalibur #75 where Rachel actually brings Kitty into her traumatic memories. Sigh. <3)

Fic prompts:

Excalibur-era: how do a couple of gals get some private time when they live in a lighthouse with their teammates (and sometimes random aliens/interdimensional intruders), and government officials are always coming to visit? Yeesh. ;)

I love the early Excalibur issue where they argue about their different styles of dress (starting with the third image down in this post). Drawing from that, they each challenge the other to spend a day engaging in an activity the challenger enjoys, together, and hilarity ensues.

Invent a Cross-Time Caper world and some wacky hijinks for them to cope with together! Tongue-in-cheek and meta commentary always welcome!

I’d love a kink story where the focus is on the aftercare as much as the play; Kitty cleaning Rachel with a warm or cool washcloth, snuggling her, playing with her hair, talking her back to herself (whether aloud or over their link).

I've had a deep attachment to Kitty and Rachel's exchange on this page since before I could even entirely explain what I saw between them as a kid. When Kitty literally held Rachel's naked body on her return/rescue during X-Treme X-Men #44-45, I so desperately wanted them to kiss "hello." If you wanted to take a crack at reimagining this scene (and please feel free not to mimic the art style if so), you'd basically make my year.

My prompts and thoughts about this pair are pretty thoroughly grounded in a recent readthrough of the collected "New Mutants: Classic" (aka Claremont's run on the original book), though if you'd like to go for something more contemporary I am down with that too!

Pairing-specific DNW: Explicit/sexually-themed fic or art for these two, if you do choose to set a story/artwork in their younger (original New Mutants) days.

Fic prompts:

the key to defeating some sort of mystical baddie (perhaps during an invasion of the school?) involves facing your greatest fear. after teaming up to mostly win the day, Illyana is basically trapped by the fact that she is resigned to hers - can Dani help her consider that good and evil might not be that simple (or inevitable)?

alternately, the girls generally team up to save the other kids' asses from some kind of magical trickster, with wacky hijinks and hilarity and flirtation.

after the whole adventure where the New Mutants rescue Kitty Pryde (and ultimately themselves) from the Massachusetts Academy, Dani and Illyana realize their fears are not unfounded; the White Queen has managed to put some kind of subconscious influence on their friends, who are starting to act more and more off. the Professor is still absent. it's up to them ...?! And they get closer in the process.

So Perfuma has a TYPE, yeah? I just kind of love imagining her swanning around all crunchy-granola-femme on the arms of not one but TWO big, buff butch babes. (Scorpio’s a bit more of a futch, really, but no less big and buff, and it’s nice to see a range of presentations! Anyway, I digress.) I see this as a vee-shaped scenario in which Huntara and Scorpia are friendly/non-jealous metamours. I’d love to see something that plays with butch/femme archetypes, and/or subverts them. Getting into power dynamics a little would be fun, too - I enjoy toppy Perfuma, even if she doesn’t want to be in charge of the whole Rebellion.

A note: Spinnerella’s size/body type is really important to me; I'd ask that you be careful not to slim her down (although I'm also definitely not looking for fat fetish, thx).

Prompts:

straight-up snuggles and smooching are always great, especially if you pick a pretty Etheria setting for it!

This is a little one-note, but for years I've been dying for fanwork showing Dax and Uhura together circa the DS9 season 5 episode, "Trials and Tribble-ations"!

Fic prompts:

in the course of the events of "Trials and Tribble-ations", Jadzia finds time to chat up, steal a kiss from, and/or make out with the famous Lt. Uhura, possibly after gushing about her to a chagrined Julian Bashir

in the aftermath of "Trials and Tribble-ations," just when poor Sisko thinks they've gotten through the investigation by the Dept. of Temporal Investigations, they ask to interview Dax about her more ... personal activities in the past, and the whole thing descends into drama and flashbacks (and probably funny reactions from crewmates)

Amilyn Holdo/Leia Organa

There's such a palpable sense of history between these two! I want so much more of both of them, both in the era we actually get to see in the films (when they're much older), and back in the early days of the first Rebellion.

Fic prompts:

Amilyn and Leia met as very young women getting to know each other through their connection with the Imperial Senate. I'd love to see those early days of acquaintance and friendship - and the discovery/confidence that Leia was involved with the Rebellion, while Amilyn was still working in "legitimate" channels in the Empire and trying to start a career. Ideals and conflicted feelings and youthful romance!

Amilyn Holdo joins the Resistance under General Leia Organa, who has recently "lost" her son and become estranged from her husband. The two navigate the politics of their new organization, battle strategies, and ... an old mutual attraction? (Re: my DNWS, I wouldn't consider this infidelity given the estrangement.)

Art prompts:

stealing a kiss during any period of their lives (as young women in the Senate, as members of the Rebel Alliance amidst a firefight or on a base somewhere, during a Resistance strategy session or on the bridge of a starship)
