reflectedeve: Pearl from Steven Universe, in a tux and top hat (creative - shiny - girl world)

so what's your favorite color, punk?

Today I went and drew in a cafe with [livejournal.com profile] zelempa for awhile, and then I actually had a really great practice session on my guitar. :) Very good day. (You know what would be neat? A sort of fandom study group thing. A bunch of fangirls sitting in a cafe or living room together, companionably working on fic and fanart. I find that the presence of other people, working on their own creative whatever, really improves my productivity.)

I think I was right the first time. Gerard is an anime vampire; or at least, he has the facial proportions of one. (It's something I used to say to [livejournal.com profile] sweetvalleyslut when she was trying to convince me that he was attractive. Back in the days when I was lol blind.)

So I guess some people might be interested in filters! (Gosh.) All right then. I'll try and get that set up, maybe tomorrowish. :) Also, I'll try to be better about commenting on peoples' journals (I have nifty new friends, I should talk to them). I haven't been hanging around on the internet much this weekend, for one reason or another. (Just posting and then dashing off again, apparently. IDK.)

I loooove the idea of the study group thing, but I think I would have to drive pretty far in any direction to get included in one, sadly.

Aw. :( That is the problem, yeah. Some of us are really scattered.

For the record my favorite color is blue. What is yours?

*g* Um, actually, I don't really think I have one? I guess I usually say green. Or purple, or black, or red . . . no, I really don't have one. :DD:

Oh well that is perfect too, because rainbows are made of win

Wow, I would so do this.

I think it could be pretty damn awesome. And . . . doable, for some of us. Maybe?

It makes me wish I hadn't lurked for so long, or that I'd gotten into bandom sooner (what with the unusually high number of in-person meetups). If I knew people better, I might try to start something.

That study group thing sounds pretty much amazing. Admittedly I only know a few fandom people who live close to me, but I love the idea.

Well, a few people could be enough, maybe. :) I don't know. I think it would be nifty; actually, my high school friends and I almost did something like it, way back in the day.

I find that I am never all that productive when surrounded my fangirls in real life. DDD: Any time that has happened, it's just full of ramble and squee. It's always a lot of fun though, and I usually come away with a lot of new ideas. :D

And ugh, Gerard's face. I don't want to even attempt drawing him yet. DD: His nose! It looks so difficult. o.o

*g* Yeah, I don't know if it would always be as productive as all that. (It depends on everyone's mood/committment to what they're working on. Sometimes when I manage to get together with another artist, we just work quietly; other times chatter takes over.) But fun is every bit as good a reason to hang out, and you can exchange tips and ideas even if you don't get a lot done. :)

Yeah, I'm not at all sure that I'm getting him, even in the slightly simplified style I'm working with. (I really need to suck it up and finish, though; way too much time already being spent on a silly piece of fluff.) I would love to see him in your style, though. *_*
