Oh hello Monday, I did not miss you. Though it's much better to be in the office without the sense of burgeoning panic that characterized last week.
Had one of those frustrating weekends where I felt like I was just pushing graphite around, boo. I know this may sound kind of weird and counter-intuitive, but I think I need to write myself plans for my art in the future; my specific list of things to do really helped with all the fanart I drew this last month or so. It's not like I'd have to stick with the plan if inspiration ran a different way, but it really might help; otherwise I wind up flailing with too many options and not enough discipline.
I did watch a bunch of Merlin, so I guess it's time to admit defeat or something. :p It's kind of a dumb show, honestly, but amusingly so. Perfect sort of thing to draw to. Plus, actual femslash potential!
(Speaking of femslash, I think I will sign up to do art for
thelittlebang. \o/)
The other main thing I did with my weekend was walk around in the rain, getting soaked to the skin with absolutely no kind of protection. My umbrella died a lingering death, though I suppose it's all right; the two old friends I was meeting up with do not believe in rain gear. We looked like drowned rats by the time we got to that cafe, but at least we matched. Still, I am totally the worst

Why must you make me aware of these things? ;)
I possibly need to watch "Merlin." I can use some femslash subtext.

Hmm. I feel like I should caution you slightly; there's some femslash subtext (which I am enjoying), but also distinct gender issues (all magic is problematic, but women's magic in particular seems to be dangerous, evil, or beyond their control - for instance). Also, it is Arthurian Smallville.

You know I like the evil women, yes? I'm sure I can live with the women's magic = evil since it's way too prominent in myths/folklore anyway, so I'm kind of used to it. Plus, um, Gwen/Morgaine subtext should be fun.
In other news, I need more Rachel/Kitty icons.

I like the evil women, too, but as a theme it bothers me. Oh, I'll stop trying to dissuade you . . . I certainly would be interested in hearing your reaction. :) (Merlin makes legends into teen drama; half the entertainment for me is actually sputtering over how intentionally wrong they get everything.)
