theopteryx has been running a highly enjoyable art meme, so I pretty much couldn't resist making a contribution. :D



Ahaha, this is so completely self-indulgent, and I went and spent two days on it. /o\ It was fun to mess with, though it's totally not in any way me (like anyone's going to catch me in corset and half a tutu). I'm not at all sure what's going on with the random symbolism, though I might have to use the human-heart-as-apple thing (if you can see that, it's the top panel in the window) again sometime. And stained glass windows are so much easier to draw when they're mostly gone! *g*

Anyway, there are kickass, super creative contributions throughout the comments on the meme post, so you should really go check them all out. ♥

At some point soon I have to poll you folks about your journaling habits, as I still have to make some choices about what I'm doing with all this. (Crossposting test, check!) Meanwhile, though, I am all sleepy (I was up stupidly late having this rambling discussion about the British Empire and philosophy and gods know what else with my roomie last night). I have to try and whip a stir-fry together, and maybe watch some more Star Trek (Original Series). Taking my mom to the movie for Mother's Day, wheee.

Why? Not that I am a frequent corset-wearer or anything, but I have found mine to be reasonably comfy.

I've never worn one, but it's just a kind of comfort with my body that I don't think I have? I've spent a fair amount of my life post-puberty trying to suppress curves as much as possible (lol wannabe androgynous).
