Okay, so in 2015? I am going to

muskratjamboree, okay. I had such an amazing time just staying in the hotel and hanging out with so many wonderful fans, but ... I want to go to that dance party next time. ;) And some panels.

I'm following a bunch of the lovely people I met on DW, LJ and/or twitter, and I'm going to post my information over in this post! So if you are new to me here is some quick stuff:

My name is Allie, which is mostly how I was introducing myself! I am happy to answer to it anywhere, although I do sign my fanwork "Lilith." You will likely wind up with access/links to various accounts (twitter, DW, tumblr) where I use my full real name; please please never link my real name or any of those accounts to my fanwork or fan accounts! I am starting out in a field where online self-promotion and social media use is essential, and it is also ... somewhat uncomfortably adjoined to some of my fandoms. I don't mind fandom people knowing who I am at all, but in the event that I ever manage to attract an audience I'd rather keep them out of here. Thanks guys. <3

I think I might do a locked sticky post at some point in the near future that just lists those links and a little IRL info. :) I do often make locked posts rambling about school and/or comics! In fact, that's a lot of what I'm posting right now, and even then ... hi, you are all awesome and I am so glad to meet new fanpeople! But my thesis is due the first week of May and I do not really have time to be here right now. /o\ Some days I barely even check twitter. I miss the internet a lot, and having time to do fanart/talk about fandom, so hopefully this summer I'll be back more!

Also ... yes, so, on Saturday my favorite band broke up, in the middle of the convention. I ... don't have too much to say about that right now? I'm sad, but neither completely wrecked nor angry; I have four albums and several years of amazing concerts and memories and some of the best friends, inspiration, and artistic output of my life. No hyperbole whatsoever there. And I have Killjoys comics to look forward to and Frank and Dewees' band, and goodness knows what else. But I know that lots of people feel much, much worse right now, and I love you guys so much. <333

The two things that I've found most consoling for my sadness, however, are BRIAN FUCKING SCHECHTER, who has been chatting with and consoling ridiculous numbers of distraught MCR fans and generally being an enormous sweetheart and still such a manager, god ... and this snippet of an interview with DEWEES (thanks

fleurdeliser!), which I'm just gonna excerpt even further here:

When you’re ready for something to be over, it should be over. You shouldn’t force yourself to do anything you don’t want to do anymore. I’m not 100% sure, but Gerard wants to do other stuff. Frank wants to do other stuff. They all want to. That’s fine. It doesn’t mean it’ll never happen again, but it means that everyone wants a real break from it. They don’t want to say it’s a hiatus because then it still lingers over your head. If you say you’re breaking up, cool, then you can stop. You don’t have to answer emails anymore until you want to. I think everybody is going to do a lot of great stuff solo. Everybody is so talented. It’s going to be really, really cool to see what happens in the next year or two.
