reflectedeveI miss you, dreamwidth. :( (Livejournal too, although I think that's a lost cause.) It's been a rough start to the year, struggling with unemployment and the usual emotional toll of the season. Social media has been especially hard.
Things have been looking up the last week or so though! I've been feeling really inspired to do fanart, although I have a lot of other creative commitments that generally take precedence. This weekend I took a Teen Wolf break. ;) I continue to really enjoy this half-season (to my continuing surprise, tbh).
I just really wanted to draw some badass supernatural teenage girls! And mess around with shiny coloring, something I hadn't done in awhile. Per usual, not at all sure I like it (the colors, I mean), so IDK, but it was still fun to work on. I took some liberties, especially with Lydia, since her abilities mostly haven't been very visually evident. Also, I'm hoping that at some point we'll get to see her use them with the practiced confidence she deploys in most social situations.
Also, so, I could not get the end of last week's episode out of my HEAD, and I finally had to draw it. I um. Might have a bit of a possession thing ... and there's the whole intimate betrayal thing ... anyway. Really happy with this one, on the whole.
I find that I'm missing doing fic illustration a whole lot ... I wish TW fandom was producing more inspiring work. :/
