I was born in the cold; turn up the heat

I shoveled myself out and waded to the T first thing this morning, and somehow in spite of this weather I still managed to get to work early. Why are we not closed like most of the sane institutions around Boston today? And furthermore, why is it freezing cold in my office? I am all wet! >:(

Urgh. I had a fantastic weekend, though; I went home to the Valley and saw a guinsky and a fuschia (and I would have seen a book_of_calm if I were not apparently the most oblivious person ever; I am really sorry about that, bb). Also there was entertaining student opera, and introducing my parents to Slings and Arrows (which I've recently fallen in love with, myself).

Oh well, it is March! That is technically progress, even if it doesn't look like it right now. Maybe I will leave early today, if that is feasible at all, so I can curl up with my sketchbook and hot chocolate and enjoy some late winter coziness. (A mentor type figure once told me that winter is cartooning season.)
