reflectedeveOh man, I am so behind on everything! Life's been pretty nutty lately, what with taking first steps towards the grad school of my dreams and all, and having my first-ever portfolio review. (It went really well - thanks so much to everyone for the advice! ♥) I have some catching up to do, per as usual.

Also, over lunch today I watched the season finale of White Collar. So, am I really the only one who thinks Kate survived? (Like, snuck off the plane survived, not tragically laid up in the hospital next season for Neal to angst over survived.) It seems so anti-climactic to just kill her, when there's been so much ambiguity and whatnot surrounding her (highly suspicious) motivations and feelings about Neal. Kate has never been my favorite thing about the show, but giving her agency in all of this would be the best thing they could do with her - otherwise, it's another cheap example of fridging, and that really brings a show down in my estimation.
That and, asoliviacirce said over twitter, I really want Neal to actually get the chance to make his choice. That great line of Elizabeth's about loving someone rather than the idea of them? Neal will never get that if he's left with the idea of Kate, enshrined in martyrdom, dammit.
Of course, all of that said, the finale was mostly made of glee from all sides. (Oh Peter, be still my heart.) I love most of the characters so much (although seriously, give Natalie Morales something to do already). I somehow managed to completely forget that Diana was going to be in this episode - I may have shrieked! I love her ass-kickery (and no-nonsense loyalty), and I love that Peter asked about her girlfriend/partner just exactly the way he might ask a straight colleague about her boyfriend/husband. I hope they give her stuff to do next season! In fact, my wishlist: more screentime for all the amazing women on this show, please.
I haven't watched this much current TV in so long . . . I'd forgotten what it was like to be stranded between seasons! Someone should totally take this opportunity to write epic Leverage/White Collar crossover fic. ;)
Now I guess I should probably go to bed, seeing as I overslept this morning and missed my bus (for the first time since moving in here). /o\
