Oh, man, old school Kitty/Rachel is shiny. And I "d'oh"ed after making my list that I didn't include the current X-Factor series beause there needs to be Monet/Siryn fic, like whoa.
I have to say i really really dislike Xavin, not directly because of the gender issue, but because s/he seems really patronizing of Karo; gender honestly doesn't matter to Xavin, which is why s/he will condede the issue but X doesn't seem very interest in extending tolerance to others (ie., Victor's just a robot, period). I could certainly see using a skrull character in a relationship with a woman to explore fluid sexuality, but the way I read the comic, Xavin ain't the one. *shrugs* Of course, I'm a bit partial to Nico/Karo, but I'm also fond of Nico/Victor, so it's not purely an OTP thing.
