Ooh. I haven't read the story yet, but I think I need to. :) I love their faces -- Patrick so smug and just a little disheveled in the first one -- and his hands, too, I love how you drew his hands -- and then so intent in the second one, with that little edge of creepy(?) underneath it. And Pete so -- wide open, I can't put it any other way. Really lovely, thank you!
