Today, I emailed a whole bunch of people who are looking for roommates in the Boston area. Also, yuletide sign-ups closed. And because the mods are on crack superheroes, assignments are supposed to be out tomorrow!

I'm honestly not sure which email(s) I'm more nervous about receiving. Eeee.

Must crash so that my last day at my fun temp job is not awful. Will write my Santa letter tomorrow. ^^

I need a "freaked-out" icon. Or at least one that shows a bit more emotion.

This is one of those random comments that's nominally related to your post but with information you probably didn't really need to know, but--I believe the yuletide mods use (have written?) some kind of program to do the match ups (possibly with criteria to get as wide a range of fandoms as possible, not sure), which is why they can send it out so quickly. Which you possibly already knew. Um. There you go!

I did in fact already know that (I've participated in yuletide every year since it began); but, thank you for your helpful impulse! ^^

Some details on the matching process are actually here (http://community.livejournal.com/yuletide/61558.html). I believe astolat designs all the Yuletide scripts herself, which never fails to impress me.

It impresses me too! Which you can probably tell since my description was something like, "And then they use this computer... thingy... which is a program that they...uh, write, and then they sacrifice a goat. With a sprinkle of mugwort and cinnamon. I think." :)
