Okay, so I watched the Teen Wolf finale and ... well, I've tried to unpack my reaction to it several times to different people and I haven't gotten anywhere, so I think I'm going to sleep on it now.

I do want to mention that I really love Peter Hale now. I wasn't that into him as the big bad last season (even with that one scene where he offered Stiles the bite, which, unf, huge fictional kink right there), but he's amazing as a snarky foil to Derek. I really hope he has some epic and convoluted and super-sneaky evil plan next season, because I'd be really disappointed otherwise, but it should take awhile to get there so we can enjoy his company.

In other belated and unnecessary fannish commentary ... Small Petunia of the Galaxy. Gerard Way, please give me your children's music album. And tell me all about what ~real costumes are. I can't believe I forgot how much I love your face, even for a second.

Tonight I sang Ella Fitzgerald at karaoke and dyed my hair a very dark purplish-red. That'll do.

Yeah, that finale was a big fucking mess, to put it charitably. But I also really love Peter now, and I hope they can figure out a great plot arc for him next season. I thought some of his snarky banter felt a little out of place, tone-wise, with the rest of that episode, but I think it could be FANTASTIC next year once it's given a little space to BREATHE.
