right now I can't read too good
Mar. 7th, 2009 01:46 amIt was pretty fucking awesome to hear "Desolation Row" played on the big movie speakers like that. I had trouble not rocking out in the middle of the theater, even while I was still trying to, you know, process.
As for the Watchmen movie itself, I was left feeling much more critical than fannish (though obviously, some of that was just really cool). There were plenty of parts that I liked a lot--more the little moments and details--and all the way through I was engaged, interested to see how the next bit of story was worked out onscreen. It was fun. On the whole, though, I wasn't thrilled with the film.
Ah well. I'm actually pretty satisfied with the book, you know? Seeing it "brought to life" is a bonus.
I should collapse, this is only the start of what promises to be a pretty kickass weekend.
