reflectedeveWell, I was feeling plenty cranky today, but then I found my ticket to the Hush Sound concert (at the Middle East) waiting with the day's mail. \o/ So excited cannot wait. GRETA. And the internet! I am not going with anyone, technically, but I look forward to seeing people there.

1. What are your current favourite fandoms?
Well . . . the obvious one is bandom, the fandom that ate my life starting in April. (Which was kind of a year behind everyone else, but I operate on my own time, I guess.) I am also rather in love with Avatar: the Last Airbender right now, and wish that it had a fandom I wanted to be involved in (I'm just not impressed with what's there). Those would be favorite current fandoms . . . more perpetual favorites include due South, DCU (specifically Superman/Lex Luthor), Harry Potter, certain X-Men characters, Labyrinth, and Good Omens. And . . . many, many more. I love plenty of teeny, tiny fandoms which are only ever written for![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)

2. Something you feel you do well?
When I actually sit down and put my mind to it, I draw some rather pretty comic pages. In spite of the fact that I'm very aware of how much room I have for improvement, I feel more confidence in it than in much of anything else.
3. Something you enjoy doing badly, or don't do at all but want to learn to do?
Writing fic (I don't do it much and don't think much of my own efforts, but it's fun). I'm about to start guitar lessons (tomorrow), and I have no idea how I'll do at that, but I'm excited all the same.
4. If you won a lottery tonight, what would you do? Assume you'd take care of fmaily and friends and so forth--but what else would you do?
Hmmm. I'd probably quit my job and set about applying here a couple years earlier than (tentatively) planned.
5. And I'm going to ask everyone some variant of this: what are three books you currently love?
That is an extremely tricky question, and I always have to pause and think for a minute: should I include graphic novels/comic series in the "books" category, or not?
If they're included, you see, my answers are all graphic novels/comic series: Carla Speed McNeil's Finder, Donna Barr's Desert Peach, and hmm . . . Terry Moore's Strangers in Paradise, I think.
If not, then it would be Good Omens (always), and um . . . well, that's difficult. Two books that I've recently loved are Stoppard's Arcadia (which I was rereading, but I'd forgotten how much I adore it), and Murder Must Advertise (I mainlined three or four Sayers mysteries this spring, but haven't made it to any of the Harriet Vane books yet).
I am a bit daunted by thebandombigbang fics; I have no idea where to begin! The obvious one would be bexless's--why hello there, my buttons--but I think I require some schmoop first. My emotional state is going to need extra propping-up for awhile. (On the way home from taking cilghal to the airport last night, just walking around outside Park Street gave me a pang because I went there with sweetvalleyslut a few times. I've been everywhere with her. There will be no constant panging! That's just silly.)
