breathe it through my lungs

I have received my
yuletide assignment! I think this is the first time that I've been matched with a request that includes two of my offered fandoms . . . I don't know which one I want to write! I'm not sure I have time to write both, though that could be really fun. Maybe a stocking stuffer for one. Hmmm.
Anyway!
Dear Yule Goat,
Thank you so much for being my writer! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your efforts already, mysterious and awesome person. Clearly you have fantastic taste, as well as being a generous soul.
I know the requests I provided you with were a bit detailed, but I'm really not a picky person. If you are seized with inspiration that totally ignores my prompts, please run with it! As far as I'm concerned, Yuletide is about everyone involved having as much fun as possible, and I really want you to enjoy writing this story rather than stressing about whether it fits my specifications. Honestly, as a writer/artist, I really like having detailed prompts, but if that's not the way you like to work, that's more than fine. :)
Overall, there's one thing I look for most in a fic: close, accurate characterization. (Obviously, with historical RPF, this isn't quite the same - or maybe it's more a matter of trying to be historically in tone?) But anyway, if the people sound like themselves, I will be over the moon. :) For Yuletide I prefer to avoid the really dark stuff, also, so leave out character death and really serious angst, and you're pretty golden.
I mean, it's probably obvious from my requests that I'm sort of relationship-focused, and a bit of a femslash junkie, but I also love me some well-written gen. I love plot, I love reflective character pieces . . . it's all good. When a fic is pairing-focused, I do tend to prefer "first time" stuff, particularly if it's a pairing that is non-canon, because it's always interesting to see how things happen; however, established stuff can be really interesting as well!
One way or another, there's no doubt that I'm going to love what you come up with. Thank you again, and happy writing!
<3,
Lilith
One further note: I'm going abroad for the holidays this year. I'm leaving the country for France on December 21st, and won't be returning home (via London) until January 5. I have no idea how much internet access I may have along the way, which means that for the first time in years, I may not be able to begin Christmas morning by reading my
yuletide gift. I'm not sure when I'll be able to express my appreciation. Please don't think I'm ignoring you or don't love my gift! I promise to comment first chance I get. :)
