I have been a fanart machine lately, relatively speaking. :D: Here's my contribution to Sweet Charity; a one-page comic drawn for wistfuljane. She requested a Pete/Patrick Alice In Wonderland AU, with Pete as the Mad Hatter and Patrick as the White Rabbit. I threw in Gabe as the March Hare and Ryan as the Dormouse, to round out the cast. :) (Sadly could not figure out a way to work in Joe as the Caterpillar.)

This is safe for work. Warning: mildly anthropomorphic animal-people. *g* I guess it was only a matter of time, in this fandom.




For costuming, I kind of did a blend of things. Patrick's pretty much wearing the Tenniel White Rabbit outfit (plus the hat and his glasses). Pete has the classic hat, but is wearing an imaginary Clan shirt with the pattern Tenniel used on the Hatter's suit (and a bartskull, which I'm not sure you can see). Gabe and Ryan are just dressed like themselves (except the animal ears). Tenniel doesn't give the Dormouse clothing at all, and . . . sorry. :p

I think the art came out rather better than the story, such as it is, but I'm generally rather pleased with this! I'm a bit concerned about Gabe's likeness (I've never drawn him before; must try again sometime), but the other three I think are a decent blend of themselves and my style. Also I am seriously happy with the shading and backgrounds/props. This fandom has been so good for me, guys. :D
