I have been a fanart machine lately, relatively speaking. :D: Here's my contribution to Sweet Charity; a one-page comic drawn for [personal profile] wistfuljane. She requested a Pete/Patrick Alice In Wonderland AU, with Pete as the Mad Hatter and Patrick as the White Rabbit. I threw in Gabe as the March Hare and Ryan as the Dormouse, to round out the cast. :) (Sadly could not figure out a way to work in Joe as the Caterpillar.)

This is safe for work. Warning: mildly anthropomorphic animal-people. *g* I guess it was only a matter of time, in this fandom.

We're all mad here. )

So thank you so much, [personal profile] wistfuljane, for bidding on me; and more importantly, for donating to charity. ♥ I am thrilled that I had the opportunity to participate in such a fantastic event. &fandom;

My brother's coming to stay with me this weekend! :D I have to spend my whole day off tomorrow cleaning the apartment. /o\

I'm not sure I can handle Simpson-Wentzes (Wentzs?) trolling each other on twitter. *_* As if MCR's bursts of hilarity were not enough. I've been off the internet more than usual lately (reading actual books, gasp), but clearly that was not to last.

Still need to come up with some kind of theme for my quarter-life crisis, since apparently absconding from the tubes will not cut it.

There are only a few hours left to bid on kickass fannish goodies at Sweet Charity! You have until around 7pm EST to win, among other things, a bandom comic drawn to your specifications! I'm still pretty affordable. ;)

(To bid, you need to create an account and log in. The auction section is divided into categories - you can find me under Graphics. There are plenty of fic offers as well, of course - and the Miscellaneous section is really intriguing.)

I think most of the stuff I was interested in buying is out of my price range by now, but it's been fun to play. I'm looking forward to stretching myself to meet someone else's ideas, too.

Also, I've started rewatching Avatar from the beginning. I'd almost forgotten how over-the-top Zuko's first season angst is. ♥

Hey, guess what? The Sweet Charity auction has opened for bidding! Check out all the awesome fic, fanart and other goodies you can win (from web design to your own custom medieval dress), and all for a good cause! I have to find some time to go through it more thoroughly later.

(If you're interested in receiving your very own bandom comic by moi, check under the "Graphics" category. :D? :D?)

Cannot keep up with all the twittering bandfolks lately. Especially can't get over Gerard being friends with Levar Burton. (You'd never know that MCR's actually supposed to be, you know, working, if it weren't for Ray. ♥ IDEK. Our canon is every bit as ridiculous as the fic.)

Purchase the services of your very own bandom cartoonist! )

I'm excited; this sounds so fun, and it's for a good cause! You guys should consider signing up. Auction starts Saturday!

In other news: Record is coming along great by the way...will be better and faster with the propper research vessel...

GERARD. >:( Give me that album!

I have some reservations about the Decemberists' new album, but for the life of me, I have not been able to get "The Wanting Comes In Waves" out of my head since Saturday night.

So I'm thinking that I'd like to participate in Sweet Charity (not before time, as this is apparently my last chance). I've never signed up before because I'm kind of uncomfortable with the idea of doing commissions in general; I don't see myself as having the chops to do illustration I haven't specifically chosen myself. (Particularly since drawing romantic/sexy art can be really hit-or-miss for me, much as I wish otherwise.)

But, I had a brainwave! I could offer to make a short comic out of someone's drabble (or just a description, or even a script). That's more in my line, and something I've wanted to try again since doing that Eroica comic based on [livejournal.com profile] mosellegreen's ficlet. I'm thinking I'll limit it to My Chemical Romance (with optional Pete Wentz, Lyn-Z or Alicia, if my bidder wishes), since that's the fandom/band I feel most confident about right now.

I'm kind of stuck on what to put down for a minimum bid, though! I see a lot of people putting $1-$3, which seems low for the amount of time and effort I know I'd need to put in. Then again, I've never tried to put a price tag on my art, and this is for charity. (I'm kind of worried that this is too specialized or random an offer, anyway. :/ And I'm nervous about being able to live up to the expectations of a generous person who is actually willing to pay for my work!) Guess I'll sleep on it, as sign-ups are still going for a few more days.

Time to go ink to an episode of "Being Human;" I've watched two episodes so far and I love it. :D
