So hey, a little more fanart, for yet another challenge. I actually drew this ages ago, but now I finally get to post it. :D
trekreversebang was a seriously cool concept, and I'm delighted to have had a chance to take part.

Notes I had fun with this piece, even though I think I may need to relearn Photoshop from the ground up! My favorite bit was putting together the TOS homage with the (electric) Vulcan lyre. ;)

arhh was awesome enough to write a piece of fic based on my work: Musical Reflections. Due to the curve balls life occasionally sees fit to throw, I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but I am super excited and grateful. :D Thank you so much!

Date: 2010-06-23 10:05 pm (UTC)grungeemo!punk band and THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY. Love them all, how everyone's involved in the scene and there's story and character and personality written all over it. <3 <3(no subject)

Date: 2010-06-29 06:44 pm (UTC)Spock's electric Vulcan lyre is based on an instrument he uses in one of the first TOS episodes, with a few alterations. ;) That was fun to do.
Thank you! Honestly, my approach to color is completely muddled - there's so much that I see in other peoples' work with different shading techniques, lighting, blending ... but I really have no idea how to make it happen. I like this piece better now than I did when I finished it, but I still feel like I could use a "forget everything you think you know" kind of class. (Part of the trouble is just that I usually can't be bothered, because I like b&w so much and I'm better at it.)
