Augh, fandom is going to be the death of me.

I've signed up for three holiday exchanges this year--yuletide, yuletart, and go_exchange. All of which should be awesome, but that's a lot to do.

And now there's this challenge. How on earth am I supposed to resist that? Even though it means trying to draw actors, which I am terrible at. Can't be helped, I suppose . . . mutecornett's art is too damn inspiring.

Plus, I'm tired of being a total lurker in all my fandoms. Challenges that include both art and writing are still few and far between, too.

I really ought to do a post about my feminist sci-fi gripes lately, specifically Re: Heroes and SGA. I finally watched "Lifeline," and while I actually really enjoyed it, and really enjoyed Elizabeth . . . well, in some ways, that makes me all the more frustrated. (I taped "Kindred" . . . have to watch it tomorrow or something.)

It wouldn't necessarily have to be actors, would it? I mean, you could draw Girl Crowley and Aziraphale, or something. Or Girl Tim and Kon! Oh god.

I'm tempted by this too, but I won't do it unless it turns out to be a gift exchange (unlikely) because I've dropped out of way too many of these things lately.

Ooh, that's an idea. I was thinking of girl!John/Teyla, or Meredith/Cadman. girl!Ronon/Teyla would be hot, too. Or some other combination. I suppose I could actually femslash an m/m pairing, as was the original notion. Too many ideas!

And I really ought to draw Teyla/Elizabeth sometime.

Mind you, a multifandom genderfuck challenge would be awesomesauce. I've had this girl!Kon idea kicking around in my brain for a couple of years now . . . I even did some doodles at one point (not sure where they went, tho').
