Say, flist, do you have any favorite podfic you'd be willing to recommend? I have a particular taste for long, plotty work (gen would be good, or pairing-centric that's not mostly porn) and/or humor. Fandoms I particularly like right now include bandom (MCR, though I could also do Brendon/Spencer or FOB), Star Trek (AOS or TOS), White Collar, Leverage, Castle, Due South, DCU (particularly Superman/Lex Luthor-centric), Doctor Who (particularly Eleventh Doctor), and Avatar: The Last Airbender, but other stuff would be neat too. (Probably not Inception, though, as I still haven't managed to watch that.)

KLB podficced Forever Now, which is like 9 hours long! It was perfect for a road trip I took a few months ago!

Also, one of my all-time favorite podfics is Gun, With Occasional Kangaroo, which is a Due South fic by runpunkrun read by myriad69. SO FUNNY. I love her Frannie especially.

obvs you've listened to all of the Speranza podfic right? I think all of her really long ones have been podficced. and presumably you are already searching http://audiofic.jinjurly.com. just mentioning it JUST IN CASE.

For readers I especially love zoetrope, general_jinjur, anatsuno, suzumenoko, dodificus, slidellra... I used to have a whole list of others, but I can't remember now. All I do now is listen to Just A Minute! on BBC Radio Four.

Well ... I've listened to With Six You Get Eggroll, Chicago's Most Wanted, and last weekend, Kowalski Is Bleeding. I've been spacing them out (and uh, possibly leaning towards the more plot-heavy and occasionally Vecchio-inclusive; everyone who knows my history with the fandom is rolling their eyes, but I will get to the rest). :) Also I certainly do use that site, although right now you can't browse by fandom, which is sad. Also recs are awesome.

Leverage: The Odd Jobs Series, read by aphelant; I Lie, I Cheat, I Steal, read by fishpatrol (both are close to gen)

ST AOS: Graduate Vulcan for Fun and Profit, read by templemarker (gen)

due South: Passion, read by zabira; Juggling Act, read by zabira; Hanged Man, read by nos4a2no9; plus those two readers have read a bunch of other long due South fic, and it's all good. Lots of long plotty stuff in the old school slash style (lots of buildup, eventual sex scene, plenty of character-focus)

Do you like ST AOS RPF? Because I think that L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux, read by pennyplainknitkins, is brilliant and adorable. It's Zach Quinto/Chris Pine, but very low-key and sweet; it's sort-of magical realism in the gentlest way.

And it's not Eleven, but there's this beautiful podfic of a beautiful story, All the King's Horses, read by such_heights, that's Ten-Donna gen, that I think is worth its weight in gold.

klb compiled lists of MCR podfic and Panic! podfic in hir journal. I'm not sure how up to date it is at this point, since there's been such an upsurge in podfic production lately, but it's a good place to start. And speaking of - have you looked at amplificathon? There's a wide variety of fandoms being read over there, the comm is super active - though it seems like much of it is shorter work. I'm also not sure about ease of navigation, as it's a comm I have on my reading page.
