thete1 made a post over here which very much expresses something that's been on my mind lately, about being a (mainstream superhero) comics fan. She's looking at it in the context of DC's Infinite Crisis/One Year Later implosion, while I usually look at it through my Marvel lense, but nevertheless it's interesting: picking and choosing your comics canon. The comments add to it as well (though I wasn't feeling very articulate when I left mine, clearly ^^;).

I've been itching to draw comic fanart, again. It's so not going to happen, not with the month of doom I'm facing. Maybe I'll scan some of my messy sketchbook doodles--all I've had time for lately. (Phoenix took over my notebook today. It's been known to happen.)

At least I'll be able to plot for my comica_obscura fic during study breaks.
