Diana Prince/Etta Candy

I grew up with my mom's Golden Age reprint Wonder Woman comics, and I love classic Etta; short, round, and unashamed. Fat, powerful, scrappy and confident. I enjoyed her portrayal in the first Wonder Woman movie as well, though she certainly wasn't quite as loud a presence.

I really just want cute/fun shippy art of Etta and Diana, whether it's set back in the 40s, the present day, or anywhere in between. Are they sharing a kiss mid/post-fight? On a soda shoppe date? Looking gorgeous in corsets and fetishwear (this is Wonder Woman, after all, and I'm a fan of positive portrayals of kink/BDSM). Feel free to play with pastiche or classic art styles (comic or otherwise), have fun with period costuming, or whatever suits your fancy.

I can’t get enough of this series. From the ridiculous sense of humor and blatant meme references, to the main characters’ intense, traumatic, intertwined backgrounds and complicated history, to the bizarre mix of a baroque gothic fantasy aesthetic with spacefaring sci-fi … it just makes me want more! I love most of the cast, and would honestly enjoy stories and art of just about almost any of them - but here are a few specific combinations for this round.

Note: all my requests assume you've read both books, and may contain spoilers for Harrow the Ninth.

Gideon Nav/Harrowhark Nonagesimus
Not going to lie; I ship it extremely hard. One of them was literally created to open the tomb; the other was just as literally created to guard it and keep it closed. After leaving the Ninth, they were each pretty much the only person the other had (as a friend and as an enemy) even BEFORE they wound up occupying the same body. Gideon died for Harrow; Harrow gave herself DIY brain surgery for Gideon. They’re delightfully over-the-top.

Fic prompts:

take any of Harrow’s escalating series of AU scenarios and play them out - maybe with alternating Harrow/Gideon POV?

what if Harrow’s AU scenarios DIDN’T happen in the middle of a life-or-death situation; what if, say, they happened in Harrow’s sleep, and Gideon’s consciousness could spectate or even play along?

what if Gideon were in conscious control of Harrow’s body every time Harrow went off to her little reimagined Canaan House? Sneaking around spying on Lyctors at night, or doing secret workouts since Harrow wasn’t lifting or doing press-ups on her OWN, damn it (leading Harrow to wonder why she keeps waking up sore).

backstory would also be great! I'd love a detailed/nuanced snapshot of their relationship as children, with all their rivalry, bitterness, hatred and companionship. In spite of their enmity, that intense loyalty had to have its beginnings back in the Ninth ... I crave complexity here.

pre-canon, a slightly younger Harrow discovers Gideon's comics and/or titty mags and is some mix of confused, outraged and fascinated. is Gideon outraged that Harrow touched her stuff, or amused by Harrow's reaction? how does Harrow make Gideon pay for it all? what comic/titty mag-inspired fantasies does Gideon have about herself (and how does Harrow figure in - and what would Gideon admit, or not, to herself about that)?

Art prompts:

illustrations from any of the AU scenarios from Harrow the Ninth (assuming Gideon is the adopted Reverend Daughter in the one, and royalty in the second).

Gideon Nav/Harrowhark Nonagesimus & Ianthe Tridentarius
I love what an unapologetically terrible person Ianthe is, and how much ridiculous snark she gives and takes with both Gideon and Harrow. And while I don’t precisely ship her with either in a romantic sense, her insistence on flirting at Harrow and her semi-contemptuous bantering with Gideon both have distinct possibilities for poor hook-up choices, so I'm very up for those if you feel so inclined.

Fic prompts:

a scenario, such as another group dinner, or a mission the two baby Lyctors are on alone together, during which Gideon and Harrow are actively body-sharing and everyone is flirting/arguing (probably creating considerable havoc, and if Ianthe and “Harrow” aren’t alone, desperate attempts to hide what's happening from their bemused elders).

Gideon/Harrow/Ianthe body-sharing smut! Ianthe is having sex with Harrow, but Harrow and Gideon keep swapping control of Harrow’s body and doing things differently and everyone’s arguing but also super into it even if they’re trying to pretend like they’re not?

Abigail Pent & Dulcinea Septimus
Canon left me wanting so much more of both of these characters individually, and I'm intrigued by the possibilities for off-page time together in Harrow the Ninth. Of the ghosts who make up Harrow's little AU cast, they're the two most dominant, opinionated personalities, and I'd love to see them as a team - or butting heads. (I would also absolutely read them hooking up.)

Fic prompts:

behind-the-scenes (from Harrow’s perspective) in the alternate Canaan House play/death bubble; the story of Abigail figuring out what’s going on, taking charge, and either working with Dulcinea, or encountering some friction from that quarter. Does Dulcinea agree with Abigail about the best course of action (in general or in a given scenario)?

Where was Dulcinea in the non-Canaan-House AUs? A snapshot of her and Abigail interacting in/commenting on one of those contexts, with their different perspectives, would be really fun!

pre-canon, we know that most of the house heirs knew each other, even though it's evident that Dulcinea didn't really travel away from Rhodes (given that she and Palamedes never got to actually meet in person). It would be fascinating to read about Abigail (as a historian, and a more independent adult) visiting the Seventh House on some kind of research, collaborative, or social venture (with or without Magnus - who I love) and meeting/observing Dulcinea while she was alive. Abigail's perspective and insights on Dulcinea's personality and circumstances could be really fascinating.

Art prompts:

pouring over documents and ephemera in (imaginary) Canaan House together, discussing and arguing and analyzing

Dulcinea in her chair, reaching out and shamelessly flirting with Abigail mid-strategy-session? Scandalizing Harrow, or perhaps the Fourth House teens (before they were sent on)!

Abigail Pent & Isaac Tettares & Jeannemary Chatur & Magnus Quinn
The pseudo-parental relationship Abigail & Magnus had with the 4th teens in Gideon the Ninth was such a source of delight to me (especially each and every time Magnus embarrassed Jeannemary), and I just shamelessly want MORE of that.

Fic prompts:

Abigail and Magnus attend some kind of ceremony or event in Isaac and/or Jeannemary's honor (achievement of a military rank/level of swordswomanship? a coming of age event/birthday party? some kind of necromancer graduation?) and just embarrassing the hell out of them. With love.

Younger Abigail and Magnus looking after Isaac and Jeannemary at some kind of House leadership event where the little 4th tots are in danger of getting underfoot.

How things went down in Harrow's fake Canaan House; reunited in death, and how the kids were sent back to the river.

Art prompts:

The four of them at any point in their shared history(/relative ages), playing or sparring etc (maybe a montage at different ages, even, if you feel ambitious)


Camilla Hect & Gideon Nav & Harrowhark Nonagesimus & Palamedes Sextus
These four teaming up in Gideon the Ninth brought me a lot of joy; I loved the different dynamics (Cam and Gideon with mutual respect and a certain amount of snark/exasperation, Gideon and Palamedes and mutual liking but also awkward romantic rivalry, Harrow and Palamedes and strange competitive necromancer friendship, Cam and Palamedes' deep mutual devotion, etc). Please don't feel like you have to give every character/combination among the four of them equal time, because that really doesn't work very well for a lot of canon. Also, I really only like Camilla and Palamedes as platonic partners, so please no romance there.

Fic prompts:

just ... more of them together at Canaan House, maybe in some brief downtime/mealtime. (Mostly) good-natured competitive banter and comparing notes between Harrow and Palamedes, with reference to the differences in their backgrounds and education. Cam and Gideon talking shop about swords. Gideon and Palamedes somehow getting to talk about comics, or ... other reading materials, and the ways in which everyone reacts to that!

alternate take on Chapter 33 of Harrow the Ninth: Gideon manifests "physically" in Palamedes' bubble, but Harrow can't see or hear her (and maybe can't be told about her either?). Chaos of one sort or another ensues. And when Harrow "wakes up" with Cam again, does Palamedes communicate with her to tell her about it? (While Harrow is still there?)

Art prompts:

Cam and Gideon spar; Palamedes cheers, Harrow is less ... demonstrative, but definitely invested in her cav's performance.

The best kids! I mainly just want them to have opportunities to be safe and happy and ridiculous together for a bit. Team-building, bonding and silly shenanigans, please! This is a big ensemble cast, so obviously don't stress about giving them all equal time. I particularly enjoy the friendships between Dani & Rahne and Doug & Warlock (both of which I ship to varying degrees, though I'm not interested in anything above G-rating in that department for either), and I also love Xi'an, Amara, and interim headmaster!Magneto, if you find you want to include any of them. Kitty Pryde is welcome too.

movie night! who fights over what to watch? who can't handle scary movies, and who is annoyed by romance? what are the snacks? are there interruptions?

a scavenger hunt and/or prank war wreaks havoc at the X-mansion

Queer adventurer/villain/mutant activist wives (and their adopted daughter). I mean. <3 Obviously there's some inherent melancholy here, given that Irene ages and Raven doesn't - and Rogue leaves them - but I'd prefer something that isn't too angsty, and especially something that doesn't include/reference Irene's death. After being editorially closeted for decades, they deserve some joy. (Additionally - anything dealing with accessibility in a positive way would be lovely.)

the story of how they met/fell in love in early 20th century Europe, probably amidst a caper!

actually, historical caperfic anytime from the 1900s to the 1970s (set in Europe, the UK or the US) would be awesome

balancing family ties with ... other pursuits during Rogue's childhood, and the challenges that entails.

how did Rogue join the "family business" as it were, and how did each of her moms feel about it?

OTP of my heart, for decades. I'm fondest of Excalibur era, so that's what I'm going to focus on ... but love their entire, complicated history.

Fic prompts:

Invent a Cross-Time Caper world and some wacky hijinks for them to cope with together! Tongue-in-cheek and meta commentary always welcome!

How do a couple of gals get some private time when they live in a lighthouse with their teammates (and sometimes random aliens/interdimensional intruders), and government officials are always coming to visit? Yeesh.

I love the early Excalibur issue where they argue about their different styles of dress (starting with the third image down in this post). Drawing from that, they each challenge the other to spend a day engaging in an activity the challenger enjoys, together, and hilarity ensues.

Art prompts:

getting caught canoodling by their Excalibur team/housemates

in some absurd genre parody/mashup (the kind of thing Alan Davis/early Excalibur stories were often playing with)

Lily Inglehart/Ola Nyman

Lily has been my favorite part of Sex Education from the moment she showed up, tall and awkward and ever quirkily dressed, and talking about tentacles and comic books and alternating between weird nerd fashion and glam rock aesthetics. And then she and Ola murdered me with cute and awkward. (I love them. A lot.)

Fic prompts:

Lily writes a new chapter of her sexy alien comic, with a new character based on Ola. How does Ola react? Is she kind of weirded out at first? Is she turned on? Do they try roleplaying (maybe online or over the phone in a story-based way)?

Ola encourages Lily to publish some of her work online, leading to some strange experiences with finding a wider audience

Art prompts:

the two of them as characters in Lily's comics (whether that's just character design art, or a fake panel or two, etc)

at a school dance in outer-space-glam outfits of Lily's design, or just really anything playing with her amazing costuming

Star Wars Sequel Trilogy - fic, art

Of note: I loved the first two films in this trilogy and felt ... decidedly mixed about Rise of Skywalker. As far as fanworks go I'm more interested in exploring character relationships, rather than big events, etc; and, I’d prefer to avoid much emphasis on even canonical character deaths.

Amilyn Holdo/Leia Organa
There's such a palpable sense of history between these two, and not nearly enough fic or art!

Fic prompts:

Amilyn and Leia met as very young women getting to know each other through their connection with the Imperial Senate. I'd love to see those early days of acquaintance and friendship - and the discovery/confidence that Leia was involved with the Rebellion, while Amilyn was still working in "legitimate" channels in the Empire and trying to start a career. Ideals and conflicted feelings and youthful romance!

Amilyn Holdo joins the Resistance under General Leia Organa, who has recently "lost" her son and become estranged from her husband. The two navigate the politics of their new organization, battle strategies, and ... an old mutual attraction? (Re: my DNWS, I wouldn't consider this infidelity given the estrangement.)

Art prompts:

stealing a kiss during any period of their lives (as young women in the Senate, as members of the Rebel Alliance amidst a firefight or on a base somewhere, during a Resistance strategy session or on the bridge of a starship)

flying an X-Wing mission together during the Rebellion


Finn/Poe Dameron & Finn/Rey
I love both these pairings, but was never convinced of any particular affection or bond between Rey and Poe Dameron - apart from their mutual love of Finn, at any rate. I'd love to see a polyamorous configuration that isn't a triad (and I'd like to ignore Rey/Kylo Ren and requisite romantic grief completely, if possible). Positive (or ultimately positive) metamour relationships are particularly unusual in fandom, and something I desperately want more of ...

Rose Tico, Chewie, and any/all of the droids are welcome/encouraged.

Fic prompts:

after the events of The Last Jedi, in the course of rebuilding the Resistance and dodging the New Order's forces, Rey and Poe navigate their uneasy relationship with each other and their mutual feelings for Finn. Good communication ... eventually ensues?

Rey and Poe each take Finn on a date of their own devising.

a snapshot of the three of them building a life together after the fall of the New Order and Rey Skywalker's visit to Tatooine. none of them have lived a particularly "normal" life before!

Art prompts:

Rey and Finn practice using the Force ... Poe (along with a droid or two) is volunteered as a prop for levitation

Crossovers are a rarity for me; in these two cases, I had a basic idea that I found irresistible, so I won't have a lot of different prompts to offer - but as per usual, please feel free to run with others if you so choose!

Jeeves & Wooster and Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries
Bertie Wooster & Reginald Jeeves & Phryne Fisher

(I absolutely ship Jeeves/Wooster, and I ship Phryne Fisher with either Jack Robinson or Elizabeth MacMillan, not necessarily exclusively. For the record. But gen is more than welcome!)

Fic prompt(s): Bertie's scandalous cousin Phryne comes to England for a visit ...

and Jeeves is thoroughly unimpressed by the havoc she wreaks on the young master's orderly life, but eventually they come to some kind of accord?

and she and Jeeves team up to help Bertie out of a scrape involving an aunt, an engagement, etc, and/or a murder among his social circle

and anything involving Doctor Elizabeth MacMillan, Phryne's traveling companion, who has published a pamphlet that impressed Jeeves, or exhibits better dress sense than Bertie, causing friction, or Bertie's latest fiancee leaves him for her, or she and Jeeves somehow discover that they are both part of the same ... discreet social circles ...

or some combination of the above, or something else entirely!

Fic prompts:

in the course of the events of "Trials and Tribble-ations" (DS9, season 5), Jadzia finds time to chat up and/or make out with the famous Lt. Uhura, possibly after gushing about her to a chagrined Julian Bashir

in the aftermath of "Trials and Tribble-ations," just when poor Sisko thinks they've gotten through the investigation by the Dept. of Temporal Investigations, they ask to interview Dax about her more ... personal activities in the past, and the whole thing descends into drama and flashbacks
