I surely believe I'll climb

Having an elusive Lilith siting? Sorry, I've been kind of busy with my real life, and giving a lot of my free time to artwork and that. Largely original work, but there are a bunch of new Kim Possible pieces up at my dA gallery. Including a silly self-insertion comic strip, which was a whole lot of fun to do.
Busy I am, and it's hard to find time for fandom, but I'll have to (such a chore, I know), because my absolute favorite event is coming up:
yuletide. You know, the multifandom "obscure" fandom holiday challenge . . . as usual, I encourage anyone who isn't a participant to join in! It's pretty much the best thing ever, and all you have to do is fill one of the New Year's challenge requests. They're due by sign-up day, which hasn't been announced yet, but it's a ways off yet.
Also, I assume they'll be taking suggestions for fandoms very, very soon.
Anyway, I'm psyched, so I'm thinking about what I might request this year. These are not in order of preference; I'm not sure which to pick yet, and one or two might end up disqualified for various reasons. So I'm randomly arranging them: femslash, slash, gen/het. :p
1. Birds of Prey/Catwoman (comics) crossover - Catwoman, Black Canary, Oracle (femslash)
I love the bit in the original trade where Selina teases Dinah by calling her "little bird." I think those two would be very hot together . . . and some Babs voyeurism would be extra-sweet. (Non femslash option: a fun, bantering team-up story. Maybe try to add some of the noir style of Brubaker's run on "Catwoman.")
2. Y: The Last Man (comic) - Hero Brown, Beth II (femslash)
Hero's one of the most interesting Y characters to me, and Beth II (the pregnant one) is intruiging and kickass. I love the idea of the two of them teaming up, and I really wouldn't mind seeing hints of something more, or even full-out femslash. That's not a requirement, though. (Other nifty things would be Hero's visions of Victoria, and maybe some theology references from Beth . . . I'm a religion geek.)
3. Fairy Tales - Snow Queen, Gerda (femslash)
I'm looking for a seduction story, sexual or spiritual, but ideally both. Gerda is canonically adult by the end of the story, I'd like her to be of age; I'm not a fan of chan.
4. Historic RPF - Mary Read, Anne Bonny (femslash)
I love the potential of these two: piracy, adventuring, and women (well, Mary) in drag. Femslash between them would just be awesome, if you're willing; a believable historical background would also make me very happy.
5. Fingersmith (book and movie) - Sue, Maud (femslash)
I'm always so frustrated by the way this story cuts off! I'd really like to see what happens next . . . what Maud "wants to do to Sue" in particular, so smut would be particularly welcome in this case. I'd also love you if you made use of the books in some way, either with Maud writing, or just references to Victorian-era erotica in general . . .
6. Peter Pan (book and movies) - Peter Pan, Wendy, Tiger Lily (femslash/gen)
I'm very interested in Wendy in particular: caught in between wanting to stay a child, and wanting to grow up (and love Peter). It occurs to me that there's that whole idea of girls maturing faster than boys . . . so maybe she and Tiger Lily could find a bond over the stubborn childishness of Peter? Anyway, some concepts to play with. :)
7. Jeeves & Wooster (tv) - Jeeves, Bertie Wooster (slash)
I'd really love subtext, or even light slash . . . that would be lovely. Most of all, though, I'm looking for antics, and voices true to the television versions of the characters.
8. ElfQuest (comic) - Cutter, Skywise (slash)
I love Cutter and Skywise's relationship, particularly if you look at it from the (canon) slashy angle. Either a story about their youth, pre-Fire and Flight, or one about their relationship with the New Holt and the Palace . . . those would be ideal.
9. From Eroica With Love - Dorian, Klaus (slash)
If someone could manage to get these two into each others' arms, and possibly into bed, in a believable fashion . . . that would be fantastic! If not, more subtexty, flirty antics in the style of the manga would make me happy. Style is important.
10. Dorothy Dunnett - Lymond Chronicles - Lymond, Philippa (gen/het)
I'd like to see something just after the end of Checkmate, something happy, possibly with Scotland and homecoming involved. Above all, I'm looking for good characterisation, and something that fits with the style of the series.
11. Finder - Marcie, Jaeger (gen)
Marcie's perhaps my favorite Finder character; I think most of us bookworms and fantasy fans can relate to her. ;) I'd like anything about her, but particularly involving one of her daydreams/stories in some level of detail. (References to other stories, like the ones CSM makes, would be particularly awesome.) I'm really not looking for any 'shipping, here.
12. Howl's Moving Castle (book or movie) - Sophie, Howl (het)
Well, "happily ever after" is all well and good for a book, but . . . how does it work? These two discover that they love each other . . . so how do they go about that? In other words, something in between Howl's Moving Castle and Castle in the Air.
Augh, I'm so excited. How will I pick? I have a feeling the first one might be disqualified, though; and, I'm not sure I trust anyone with Lymond.
Anyway, I have some plans for more SgA fanart, and possibly some Marvel stuff, so stay tuned. It's a busy time. I don't even have time to talk about my new love for Life on Mars and Heroes, my happiness with the third season of Veronica Mars (so far), or my reaction to the end of the latest season of Doctor Who (meep).
