I'm thinking about going to see the Hushies again in Hartford. I could get there by bus easily enough, and the show itself is quite cheap, but I don't know what I'd do after. Peter Pan buses don't run terribly late, and I think a hotel room would be a bit more expense than I really want to incur. :/ This fandom is not cheap.

Anyway! I've decided to create two filters. One will involve real life things (probably just occasional stuff that I'd prefer to lock, because it's too detailed) and original art (plus possibly random blather about whatever I'm working on? IDK). The other will be for random comics blather and comic recs. I doubt that either will be terribly high-volume, honestly (a lot of the time, any spare energy I might have had for writing posts just gets channeled into art instead), but there should be some art and recs at the very least.

Oh, and people who also watch my RL journal: I love you guys, but I'm not sure why some of you were participating in that last poll. Anything under these filters is probably going to be crossposted anyway; if you sign up for a filter, you'll get it twice. If you want access to the comments (which I guess you might for the comics filter, in case of discussion), go for it, but otherwise you might want to keep out of this.

[Poll #1231096]

Um. You guys are sweet, by the way. :) And if you aren't interested in these filters, particularly the first one, I am really not going to be offended. JSYK.

peterpanbus.com says last bus from Hartford to Boston South Station leaves at 9:15pm

I am not going to look up hotels for you, though :P unless you ask

$204 for a ticket (http://www.wegoplaces.com/Event_146626.aspx)?!

That is indeed what I meant by "not terribly late." :p Early enough, in fact, that the Hushies might not quite have gone on yet. And if I decide it's worth going for an overnight, I swear, I will do my own research.

Okay, I have no idea WTF is up with that link. I can't get this to link directly, but go here (http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/TicketPurchase?organ_val=2301). Click on their August schedule, and the "buy tickets" link for the Hush Sound show. The tickets are $12 apiece; with service charge they're still under $20.

While the Peter Pan site was loading, I was Googling Hush Sound + Hartford to get the date since I know some of the buses don't run every day, and that was one of the top items on the list. I am comforted to know that tickets to your beloveds are not in fact obscenely expensive.

And yeah, that is really sadly early when trying to go to a show. You know I love researching -- but yeah, I do realize my friends are adults and can do their own research :)

That would be deeply bizarre. I mean, when I went to see MCR at Madison Square Garden--and they're a big band, probably the most popular/expensive act I'd currently consider seeing (aside from Bowie)--the highly-coveted GA pit tickets were going for quite a bit less than that. I wonder if that site is trying to advertise some kind of vacation package that includes the concert? WTF.

*laughs* I know you do, hon. I also promise to come to you if I find myself stymied by random internet research at any point. :)
